Kickboxing classes are offered every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 8 pm.
Kickboxing is a fun and exciting way to increase your cardiovascular endurance, muscle strength and lose weight. A typical workout includes but is not limited to: skipping, strength and flexibility drills, as well as kick, punch, knee and elbow combinations. These exercises are lead by the instructor in a variety of ways that make each workout unique.
Robert Dixon
Robert has been active in the sport of kickboxing since 2003. He has been competing as an amateur athlete with ring experience in Canada, the United States, and internationally. Robert is currently a member of the Canadian National Amateur Kickboxing Team that has recently returned from the World Championships in Portugal. His head coach is James Marinow from ‘Hook-up Muay Thai’ in Toronto, but he also trains under the likes of Muzammal Nawaz (World Middle Weight Champion) and Brad Fowler (North American & Canadian Champion). Robert is a certified coach with CASK and is at the “Elite level” of grading per CASK criteria.
Jennifer Brown
Jennifer has been active in the sport of kickboxing since the age of fifteen. She is a certified coach and an amateur athlete with CASK, (the governing body for Canadian amateur kickboxing) as well as being at the “elite level” of grading as per CASK criteria. Jennifer is scheduled to compete in her first sanctioned bout in 2008. A coach at national and North American competitions, she continues to train at ‘Hook-Up Muay Thai’ in Toronto under James Marinow.
